Canada Is Now Euthanizing ‘Useless’ Citizens ‘Taking Up Space’

Leftist government officials and eugenics activists are pushing to expand Canada’s “assisted suicide” laws to begin euthanizing more burdensome citizens deemed to be “useless” to society.

The Canadian government first introduced its “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAiD) program in 2016 after passing legislation to legalize euthanasia.

MAiD was meant to offer dying terminally ill patients an option to die painlessly once there was nothing else modern medicine could do to treat them.

However, the introduction of MAiD was just the beginning of a very slippery slope that is now leading to a globalist eugenics agenda that is being enforced by the government and funded by taxpayers.

Unlike the United States, Canada has a taxpayer-funded socialist healthcare system that gives “free” medical treatment to all citizens.

Under this government-controlled system, sick people who need expensive treatments are considered a burden on the state.

Treating cancer patients with chemotherapy, for example, can cost taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars per person.

Since the government introduced MAiD, however, doctors now have another low-cost option to euthanize patients instead of treating them.

As Slay News recently reported, a new study revealed that Canada’s socialized healthcare system is saving millions of dollars a year by euthanizing patients instead of treating them.

The study found that the Canadian government saves up to $136.8 million annually thanks to the MAiD program.

Meanwhile, critics are warning that vulnerable patients are being pressured into choosing death over “costly” care.

Since the laws were rolled out in 2016, they have been increasingly relaxed.

Every year, the number of people killed by MAiD has spiked.

In 2022 alone, there were 13,241 state-sanctioned assisted suicides in Canada.

Canada Is Now Euthanizing 'Useless' Citizens 'Taking Up Space'The government no longer limits MAiD to terminally ill patients and people struggling with homelessness, poverty, depression, mental illness, autism, vaccine injuries, disabilities, and even hearing loss are being euthanized by the state.

On October 16, the Associated Press reported on the questions euthanasia providers are discussing on their private forums.

One story featured a homeless man being killed by lethal injection:

One doctor wrote that although his patient had a serious lung disease, his suffering was “mostly because he is homeless, in debt and cannot tolerate the idea of (long-term care) of any kind.”

A respondent questioned whether the fear of living in the nursing home was truly intolerable.

Another said the prospect of “looking at the wall or ceiling waiting to be fed … to have diapers changed” was sufficiently painful.

The man was eventually euthanized.

One provider said any suggestion they should provide patients with better housing options before offering euthanasia “seems simply unrealistic and hence, cruel,” amid a national housing crisis.

Another featured a doctor debating whether obesity made someone eligible for assisted suicide.

The woman in question had described herself as “useless” and told the doctor she had “no purpose.”

The doctor apparently agreed with this assessment.

One woman with severe obesity described herself as a “useless body taking up space” – she’d lost interest in activities, became socially withdrawn and said she had “no purpose,” according to the doctor who reviewed her case.

Another physician reasoned that euthanasia was warranted because obesity is “a medical condition which is indeed grievous and irremediable.”

Perhaps the most chilling story of all is the case of a woman who was railroaded into accepting “assisted suicide.”

She was pressured into being euthanized with her husband who was being killed for poor eyesight.

The couple had several appointments with the MAiD doctor before the wife “finally agreed” to euthanasia.

When a health worker inquired whether anyone had euthanized patients for blindness, one provider reported four such cases.

In one, they said, an elderly man who saw “only shadows” was his wife’s caregiver when he requested euthanasia; he wanted her to die with him.

The couple had several appointments with an assessor before the wife “finally agreed” to be killed, the provider said.

She died unexpectedly just days before the scheduled euthanasia.

Other providers cited examples of people being euthanized for grief.

In another story covered by the Telegraph, a Canadian woman undergoing life-saving cancer surgery was pressured to kill herself with MAiD instead.

She was offered “assisted suicide” by doctors as she was about to enter the operating room for her mastectomy.

Apparently, the lethal injection was cheaper than the surgery.

Meanwhile, another Canadian citizen was recently euthanized over an injury caused by his mandated Covid mRNA “vaccine.”

In October, an Ontario man in his late 40s became the first person to be euthanized for “post-COVID-19 vaccination syndrome.”

The man was killed under Canada’s MAiD program.

Doctors had determined that the patient had become a burden on the socialized healthcare system.

They warned that he wouldn’t recover from “post-vaccine syndrome” and ruled that MAiD was a better option than long-term care.

As Slay News has previously reported, influential globalists, such as leaders of the World Economic Forum, frequently describe members of the general public as “useless.”

It should come as no surprise, then, when globalist governments push euthanasia as a means to relieve the “burden.”
