As night descended, the 82-year-old was joined by Perry’s mom, Suzanne, and stepdad Keith Morrison who appeared morose as they pulled up to the home.
John Bennett Perry, 82, was seen arriving at the home where first responders were called to earlier today.
A coroner’s vehicle was also seen at the scene as family, friends and fans grappled with the loss of the beloved actor.
Sources said he was found in a jacuzzi at the home but that no drugs were discovered at the scene – and there was no indication of foul play.
Perry rose to fame in his role as ‘Chandler Bing’ on the hit 90s sitcom Friends, which ran for 10 seasons.
His father John had also starred in 1998 Friends episode The One With Rachel’s New Dress, as the Mr Burgin – the father of Jennifer Aniston‘s character Rachel’s boyfriend Joshua Burgin, played by Tate Donovan.
Just the other week Perry delighted fans by sharing a social media post of him and his father.

As well as his cameo in Friends, John was well-known for starring as ‘The Sailor’ in commercials for Old Spice during the 70s and 80s.
Matthew spoke candidly about his relationship with his father in his memoir Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing, which was released last year, as he detailed his dad leaving after his split from his mother when Matthew was a child.
Mathew was born in Massachusetts and raised by his mother Suzanne Marie in Canada since the parents divorced when he was one-year-old.
He said: ‘I was one. Yeah. So, I didn’t blame myself quite yet. But…’ in an interview with NBC in 2004.
Their long-distance relationship meant Matthew mainly saw his father on TV, as he revealed: ‘That was mostly the way that I saw my father when I was young…
‘On TV shows, and you know, getting shot through a door on Mannix, or something like that. That’s my Dad.’ He said he still idolized his father.
People magazine once dubbed Matthew and John ‘the sexiest father and son’ in a photo shoot they participated in. Perry said: ‘That was one of the best moments I’ve ever experienced.
‘Just because I get to show up to that photo shoot with my father. And he and I really enjoy sharing time.’

John was later joined by Perry’s mom, Suzanne, and stepdad Keith Morrison who appeared morose as they pulled up to the home Saturday night.
Suzanne was a Canadian journalist and served as the press secretary to the Canadian Prime Minister.
Years after she separated with Matthew’s dad John, she married to Keith Morrison, a prominent broadcast journalist and correspondent for Dateline NBC, in 1981.
Morrison said in a 2017 interview with Andy Cohen that he thought Matthew would grow up to be famous but ‘probably not as an actor.’
‘He is a very good guy,’ Morrison said.
In a 2020 interview with People, Morrison opened up about his relationship with his stepson Matthew saying he had been ‘remarkable’.
‘He’s an intense, talented, focused character. He’s very bright. That was always the case as he was growing up,’ Morrison said. ‘we love having him around’.
The father of six used to take Matthew to hockey games in Ottawa on Saturday mornings.
‘He was the one who scored all the goals. He was the guy. The same on the tennis court. He was extremely, extremely good on the tennis court and very intense.’
When Matthew went through a challenging three-month period of bed rest following a gastrointestinal surgery, Morrison was by his side.
‘We were able to be with him a lot of the time during that period, which I think was beneficial for everyone,’ says Morrison. ‘It brought the whole family closer, and we all got to be there to support him. He’s coming through it.’

In his book, the Friends star laid bare the height of his terrible drug and alcohol addiction battle which nearly cost him his life. He revealed that his colon ruptured as a result of his opioid addiction when he was 49.
Doctors gave him only a two percent chance of survival and he was in a coma for two weeks followed by months more in the hospital.
Perry required 14 surgeries to help repair all of the abdominal damage, and he admitted to having gone to rehab 15 times over the years in hopes of kicking his drug addiction.
At one point during his Friends career, he admits he was taking 55 Vicodin a day and was down to 128 pounds but yet he ‘didn’t know how to stop.’
He even revealed he would go to real estate open houses – not because he was interested in buying property but to see if he could steal drugs from medicine cabinets.
