1. Senator Ndume Withdraws As Maina’s Surety
Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) has asked his lawyers to commence the process of withdrawing him as a surety for the former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Force Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.
Naija News recalls that Ndume, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, stood surety for Maina, his constituent, who is standing trial at a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
2. #EndSARS: Victims Of Lekki Shooting Storm Lagos Judicial Panel With Proofs
15 protesters who were wounded during the shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters by men of the Nigerian army on Friday stormed the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters.
Naija News reports that 14 of the protesters were said to have been shot at Lekki Toll Gate on the evening of October 20, while one was said to have been shot Ojodu Berger.

Many days after the widely condemned shooting on peaceful #ENDSAR protesters at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State, some of the victims have come out to share their awful experiences and how they survived the horrifying incident.
Naija News understands that some of the victims had appeared before the Lagos state government judicial panel on Friday, December 4. During an interview with newsmen earlier, the victims and some who were represented by their relatives revealed their ordeals.
On his part, Edwin Augustine who revealed he still has a bullet in his body noted that he joined the protest on that fateful day and eventually got shot at by the military men who stormed the protest venue where the unarmed protesters were gathered
4. Drama As Appeal Court Sacks Araraume, Replaces Him With Ibezim
The Appeal Court sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has sacked Senator Ifeanyi Araraume as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Imo North by-election.
Naija News reports that the Imo North by-election is set to hold on Saturday, December 5, in the 64 wards across six Local Government Areas in the state.
5. Stop Giving Excuses To Justify Failure Of Governance – CAN Slams Buhari, Security Agents
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has told the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to stop giving excuses for its failures.
The CAN leadership said this in reaction to the recent killing of some rice farmers by Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno State.
The Christian umbrella body while commiserating with the victims of the incident, also called on security agents to wake up from their slumber and focus on their constitutional responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens.

The organizers of the Headies on Friday released the list of nominees for the 14th edition of the music awards in recognition of outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.
Davido, Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Falz, Fireboy DML, Mayorkun, DJ Neptune, Wizkid will battle for the Viewers Choice award while Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Mayorkun, and Tiwa Savage will battle for the Artiste Of The Year award.
7. Victims Of Zarbamari Massacre Were Boko Haram Informants, Not Farmers – Community Source
A totally different report has emerged from the incident that led to the killing of rice farmers in Borno State last weekend by Boko Haram terrorists.
According to a source in the community, most of the victims were informants and logistics suppliers to the insurgents.
8. Police Withdraw Suit Against #ENDSARS Panels
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Friday, November 4, 2020, applied to withdraw a suit filed to stop the #EndSARS judicial panels of inquiries set up by state governments to probe alleged cases of police brutality and other cases of human rights abuses.
The notice to withdraw the suit by another NPF lawyer, Festus Ibude reads: “Take notice that the plaintiff herein intends to and doth hereby wholly withdraws its suit against all the defendants.”
9. Court Sends Maina To Prison
The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday has remanded a former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Taskforce Team, Abulrasheed Maina, in prison, till the end of his trial.
Naija News reports that Justice Okon Abang gave the order following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecution counsel, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar.
10. Borno State Government Pays N600,000 Each To Families 48 Farmers Slaughtered By Boko Haram
The families of each of the 48 farmers killed by Boko Haram on rice farms in Borno State have received N600,000 each from the Borno State government.
They also received food parcels from a committee appointed by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum to distribute relief items.
