Ariana DeBose rocks an edgy white gown while leading the glamour at the GLAAD Media Awards in NYC

Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose put on a sensational display in a curve-hugging white gown with a sexy  cutout across the midriff and silver beading around the neck to the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

As she arrived to the star-studded ceremony at the New York Hilton Midtown, located in the heart of Manhattan, the West Side Story star oozed confidence as she flashed her incredibly toned legs and silver pumps.

Her glamorous makeup look consisted of a berry-toned lip gloss, black liquid eyeliner, a sultry smoky eyeshadow and blush for a healthy glow less than two months after making history as the first Afro Latina and first openly queer woman of color to win an Academy Award for acting.

The Hamilton actress, who was recently announced to be hosting the 75th Annual Tony Awards next month, wore her dark black tresses in a straight pixie bob with layered bangs.

There was no shortage of chic fashion among the other attendees, including actress and singer Dove Cameron, who turned heads in a black crop top and a pink and white ruffled skirt and shoulder-length gloves.

The former Disney Channel star rocked her brunette tresses in a sleek ponytail with a few strands framing her face and heavy winged eyeliner for an edgy twist on her otherwise very feminine and dainty look.

Later in the evening, Cameron performed her queer anthem Boyfriend, after publicly revealing she is bisexual after fans accused her of ‘queerbaiting.’

‘I’ve hinted about my sexuality for years,’ the singer told the Gay Times last year, though the confusion was the impetus she needed to share her truth.

Part of why the Descendants star held off on coming out was a fear that her coming out would be brushed aside.

‘I was never confused about who I was,’ she clarified. ‘I felt like I wouldn’t be accepted and I had this strange narrative that people wouldn’t believe me.

‘I hope it helps, that’s why I came out,’ she continued. ‘It felt like something that I could never talk about.

‘I feel like the industry has changed a lot in terms of having room for people with platforms to be human and not to be picked apart,’ she said. ‘I was really nervous to come out and, one day, I dropped it because I was behaving like somebody who was out and I realized I wasn’t. When you are who you are, you assume people see that and then you realize, “No, I have to come out otherwise people aren’t gonna know.”‘

Dove was also at an inflection point when it came to her romantic relationships, which made it more important than ever to open up about her sexuality.

Back in October 2020, she and her Descendants costar Thomas Doherty announced the end of their nearly four-year relationship.

‘I was at the end of a very big chapter closing in my life and I was struggling to focus on myself, so when the relationship ended, I was having a hard time stepping back into my power and focusing on where I was,’ she explained.
