Civil servants get first dibs. Register by May 15th, 2024 to participate in this initial phase. Here’s a simple guide to walk you through the application process:
1. Visit the Official Website:
Head over to credicorp.ng, the official website for the Consumer Credit Scheme. You’ll see a bold “Register Now” button – click on it! This will take you to a page where you can enter your personal details.
On this page, you’ll need to fill in:
- Your full name (first, middle [optional], and last)
- Phone number
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Gender (male or female)
- State of residence
- State of origin
Once you’ve filled out all this information, click “Proceed” to move on to the next step.
2. Tell Them Why You Need the Loan:
On the next page, you’ll explain why you’re applying for the loan. Here’s what you’ll need to provide:
- The reason for your loan: What are you using the money for?
- Your comfortable repayment amount: How much can you realistically afford to pay back within six months?
- Microfinance experience: Have you ever borrowed money from a microfinance bank before?
- Previous loan amount (if applicable): If you answered yes to the previous question, what was the highest amount you borrowed?
- National Identity Number: Don’t forget to include your National Identity Number details here.
Once you’ve entered this information, click “Proceed” again.
3. Employment Details:
Now, it’s time to share some details about your job:
- Years of experience: How long have you been working in your current position?
- Monthly income: How much do you earn each month before taxes?
- Salary bank: Which bank do you use for your monthly salary deposits?
- Loan destination bank: In which bank account would you like to receive the loan amount?
After filling in these details, click “Proceed” to move on.
4. Secondary Employment (Optional):
This section is optional, but if you have a side hustle, you can include it here.
- Do you have a secondary job? (Yes or No)
- Secondary employment details (if applicable): If you answered yes, provide details about your side job.
- Years of experience
- Monthly earnings
- Bank where you receive your secondary income (if applicable)
5. Face Capture:
The final step is a quick face capture to complete your registration. Once you’ve done this, your application will be submitted!
