Steps To Register Your Business With SMEDAN, Using Your Phone
Few years ago, many grants and loan programs were launched by the Federal government led by his Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, to reduce the effect of the pandemic on local/indigenous businesses and households inclusively.
However, these programs were also launched to support all Nigerian Entrepreneurs by awarding of grants and loans to start up their businesses as a means of reviving and striving efficiently in a declined economy. Some of the programmes includes;
Nigerian Youths Investment Fund(NYIF), NPower, Survival Fund Payroll support and COVID-19 TCF loan, all the above were approved by the Federal government in partnership with Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN). Although, the only business owners were eligible to apply for the above programs.
Arguably, some business owners did not benefit from these programs why some didn’t even apply because of their failure to possess the most important requirements which were the SMEDAN number and CAC number.
Therefore, in this article I would like to share a simple guide that will help you register your business with SMEDAN within 10minutes, with your Mobile phone
Below are the steps to register your business with SMEDAN using your mobile phone:
1. Visit the SMEDAN official portal https://www.smedan.gov.ng/login
2. Click on “Mass MSMSE” registration
3. Then you will be redirected to a registration dashboard where your personal details, business name, phone number and email address will be required.
4. Then after providing the above, click on “Get Started” where a form will pop up demanding for your business objectives and owner’s information.
5. After the above, click on “Summit” and you will be notified to check your email address to download your certificate that contains the SMEDAN number.
As a result, after going through the above processes, you have successfully registered your business with SMEDAN and you are eligible to apply for any government grant for business owners. And other federal government empowerment programs that require SMEDAN.
